Goodbye California, Hello Hypothermia

Now we know why Tom and Dani didn't post for two months after they moved to their new house! We just looked at our last post and realized just how long it had been. Anyway, as most of you know we are back in Utah. We moved into our house after a short stay with Amy's parents during the holidays. It seems like it has not stopped snowing since we arrived. I must admit that I still love to look outside and see fresh snow early in the morning, even though it means I have to drive in it. Snow just adds that extra excitement to your commute. (I realize most of you other Utahns probably lost that excitement in Mid-November but it still feels new to us)

The pictures are just some we have taken around the house. Ava loves to wear Mommy's high-heels. Koben is always a Super Cheeser. The last two pictures are what happens when the kids make their way into the bathroom and are real quiet for a long time. (Ava was using mascara and Koben was eating toilet paper from the roll.

Frank, Amy and Koben's Trip to Laketown

Only a week after beginning work at Walker Mortuary, we got a case that was to be buried in good 'ol Laketown City. Amy, Koben and I made the trip up on a Friday night. (Ava had to stay with Adam and Jessalyn because there is only room for three in the front of the coach) The burial was the next day and Dad let me park the coach in the garage and he even washed it before the service. Check out the SHINE in the picture! We enjoyed staying the night at Mom and Dads, it worked out very well.

Ava's Birthday Party!

Ava was thrilled to spend her birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. Adam and Jessalyn as well as Marianne were able to come. We let Ava go up into the tubes to play around. I don't know what it is called when you get claustraphobia for someone else but Amy and I had it! These tubes have entrances that are too small to let adults in (there are access areas that the employees can open if needed) and it made us worry that she would not be able to find her way out. We felt like Marlin on Finding Nemo, we just had to let her go and see how she fared on her own. She did fine, of course, with the help of an older boy who showed her the way down.

Koben is so funny. He does the army

crawl around the house and then when he passes the TV he will park just like this or he will lay on his arm and watch the tube for a while.

The Lion, the Witch, and the.........

I know it is little late for halloween pictures but we thought we would post these pictures of the kid's costumes. We took them to the mall to trick-or-treat because, well, we don't really have a neighborhood and the 99 cent store and the gas station weren't giving any candy out. It only took Ava a minute to figure out that the people hanging out in front of the stores were the ones giving out the candy. After that she was running from store to store!
